So far this week, the roof is ready for shingles (they arrived early this afternoon). All the windows are in. The coat closet near the front door is framed in also the linen closet.
There will be three archways, one going into the kitchen from the garage, one going into the dining room; and one going into the family/livingroom.
The two bedrooms also have closets framed in. Robert reminded me that our walk in closet is framed in too. (It is just a big room.)
This is the back of the house starting with the garage.

Here is my bedroom and bathroom. I love my bay window.
Here is the backporch, showing the kitchen window, the french doors of the living room and bedroom window.

It is looking more like a house everyday. This has been a good day, we got to wish Becky a happy birthday and got a new grandson, Jackson. How blessed are we!

More of last week's photos

We had an awesome week. My tub and tub/show were delivered on Thursday.

Our windows and doors were delivered Friday morning. By the end of the day Friday, they had finshed the stairs going to the basement and the stairs going up to the bonus room and the bonus room floor.

Our back doors are in place. Just need the window sidelight on either side of it.

The windows are in on the north side of the house and they started tacking tar paper on the roof.
What a week!!

Looking like a real house

Yesterday they finished putting the plywood on the roof. We also got to meet with the plumber and the heating and ac guys. They were all shooting questions at us. It was awesome though.

We even got our front door put up today. It is so pretty
Notice the large space above the garage at the end of the house... that is our bonus room. Looks really big from the outside, we will see when it is finished.

The windows and the rest of the doors will be delivered on Friday. So many things to look forward to.

Look what happened today!!

This is so awesome. It is looking like a real house. This is what they had done by 8:30 this am.

When I got back from my meeting about 1:00 this afternoon this is what our house looked like.

What a good day!

The past couple of weeks it seemed like not much was being done at our new home. As you can tell I have little patience. But things are progressing. On May 29th Robert went to the new house to borrow a sheet of plywood. He noticed there was a crack in the cement on our back porch. He was just sick. On Tuesday the 31st, the concrete contractor came to inspect the crack. By Wednesday the 1st of June it was decided that the center block of concrete would be torn out and redone. This slowed down a lot of work. Any way here are some of the things that have been done since the new section of our back porch was finished. This is our back porch.

This is our garage, I love the pattern at the front of it, and we have a ramp for easy access.

This is our entrance to our house and our front porch.
Our bedroom, master bathroom, walk in closet and laundry room are all formed up with the studs. It is so awesome.

We have had a fun time walking through the house and trying to picture where things are suppose to be. It is so fun to sit in our window sills and just look around (and through) the walls. Then we go home and look at the plans to see if we remembered just where everything goes.
